Field Dimensions

  • U-9: a minimum dimension of 45 x 65 yards and a maximum dimension of 50 x 70 yards
  • U-10 through U-12: a minimum dimension of 50 x 70 yards and a maximum dimension of 50 x 80 yards
  • a halfway line marked out across the field.
  • a center spot with an 8 yard radius circle
  • a penalty spot 10 yards from the goal line
  • four corner arcs with a 1 yard radius
  • goal boxes 6 yards from each goal post and 6 yards into the field of play, joined by a line parallel to the goal line
  • penalty boxes 14 yards from each goal post and 14 yards into the field of play, joined by a line parallel to the goal line
  • goals that are a minimum of 6 feet high x 16 feet wide and a maximum of 6.5 feet high x 18.5 feet wide
  • mandatory spectator lines that parallel the touch lines at a distance of 3 yards from the touchline and run from penalty box to penalty box
  • NOTE: OBSL fields for both U-9 through U-12 divisions are 50 x 80 yards, the maximum field dimensions under USYSA Under 10 guidelines.
